What is the Care Help Service mission?
The Care Help Team’s mission is to help care seekers find the right care homes for themselves or their loved one.
Navigating the journey of finding care is something someone is likely to only do once or twice in their lifetime. It can be stressful and it requires a lot of research. Very often this learning curve has to take place whilst the care seeker is holding down a job and caring for parents and children.
Our Care Help team supports care seekers by helping them find the care homes that are most likely going to fit their requirements including location, care services provided, budget and funding, availability, facilities and activities.
For our clients, we believe this will improve lead quality by better matching care seeker requirements and budgets to ensure our enquiries result in more move-ins and less of our clients’ time wasted.
How can I get enquiries from the care help team?
The Care Help Team is focused on finding the care homes that most closely match the care seeker’s requirements in order to provide the best possible service to care seekers. Typically the care help team will recommend a shortlist of 3-7 care homes for each care seeker.
Care Help enquiries are provided in addition to the packages (Basic, Enhanced, Premium and Platinum) we offer and you do not have to pay any extra to receive the care seeker information when your care home is chosen by the team.
What can influence the number of enquiries you receive is providing as much information as you can about your care home on carehome.co.uk. Carehome.co.uk is the primary research tool we use to find care homes.
Ensuring that you have the following information on your profile will ensure that your home is considered for every relevant care seeker search in your home’s location
1. Profile completeness – Ensuring you have 100% profile completeness ensures the data we have is complete and we will be less likely to accidently pass you over by incorrectly believing you are not suitable for a particular care search.
In particular, fees and funding information is critical – as part of the Care Help service, the team need to know what type of funding you accept. If you accept private funding, we need to know your indicative fees (if applicable) for
- Residential care
- Nursing care
- Dementia residential care
- Dementia nursing care
By providing your fee information we ensure that care seekers are likely to be able to afford your care home fees.
You also want to make sure that all the information about the care, services and facilities you provide is correct and up to date.
2. Review score and new reviews – Because the shortlist space is limited, if we need to shorten the homes on a list we will use the carehome.co.uk ranking to prioritise. The best way to influence your ranking is by achieving a good review score and generating a steady stream of new reviews.
When is the Care Help Team available?
The Care Help Team phone lines are currently open 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. We are still in the early stages of the service’s development and we may experiment with longer opening times in the future.
Care Seekers are able to contact us via voice mail or email outside of these times. A member of our team will contact the care seeker the next working day.
What is the vision for the Care Help Team?
In the short term, the goal of the Care Help team is to provide the best service possible to care seekers and to increase the amount and quality of care enquiries we generate for our care home users.
In the medium to longer term the Care Help Team allow carehome.co.uk to get closer to care seekers and our clients. We will better understand how care seekers search and what constitutes the best leads for our clients. We will use this information to inform our company and product strategies with the aim of improving the overall experience for our care seekers and clients. The goal is to provide more and stronger enquiries from The Care Help Team and our website overall.
Care Help Team enquiries will always be provided in addition to the other enquiries generated on our website (tours, care email enquiries, brochure requests, website clicks and care telephone enquiries).
