It’s important to add at least one video to your profile. Videos give you an opportunity to show off your care home's personality and a chance to meet you and your team before visiting your care home. You don’t need to use high-end filming equipment. Most of the videos that appear on carehome.co.uk are recoded on smart phones. Adding a Video contributes 10% towards Profile Completeness.

How to add a Video

To add a Video to your carehome.co.uk profile go to your Control Panel and click on Video on the right hand side.

Alternatively go to the left hand menu navigate to:

1. Profile

2. Photos/PS/Logo/Video/360

3. Video

4. Click on the Upload Video button. A box will then appear where you can click on the Select a Video button. You will then be given the option Drag and Drop or Browse to add your video.

If you are an Enhanced or Premium Subscriber, you will be able to upload 1 Video. Platinum Subscribers can upload up to 3 Videos.

5. To reorder Videos just drag and drop the Video to the desired position and then press 'Save Changes' at the top of the video box.

To delete a Video, tick checkbox next to relevant videos or tick 'Delete all Videos' and press 'Save Changes'

What should I include in a video on my profile?

It is advisable to have at least one video that emulates a tour of your setting. This includes views of the main rooms and bedrooms, other facilities and outdoor spaces.

Another tip is to include your staff and perhaps residents speaking about what life is like at the setting, such as the atmosphere, activities, meals and any the other lovely benefits of life in your care home.

Why should I add a video to my profile?

Videos are a great way to excite care seekers and gives them a better sense of what life in your care home is like.

A video with people speaking makes it even more personal and does a better job at giving people a feel for what their experience might be like.

What are the specification requirements for video?

For a video to be uploaded it must be less than 300MB in size.
