Your carehome.co.uk profile is not just a listing – it is your chance to attract care seekers, tell them what your home can offer and motivate them to want to know more.
When searching for care homes, your profile is the first thing that care seekers will see, and a good profile is key to standing out and getting enquiries.
While you may have a perfectly good website of your own, it’s always worth making the most of your carehome.co.uk profile. Carehome.co.uk has people dedicated to raising the site’s SEO. This means that we consistently appear high on Google searches, resulting in more traffic to profiles on our website.
How much you can do with your profile depends on which package you have. While the basic package does not include features like photos, video tours or team member profiles, you can still include plenty of information to showcase your services and encourage enquiries.
Information you can have on a basic profile includes:
- Base data- this gives visitors to your profile quick and succinct information they may need at a glance. The more base data you have, the better an idea visitors can get of whether your care home suits their immediate needs. Base data can include:
- Registered maximum number of service users
- Bedroom information
- Ownership status
- Date registered with local authority
- Age range of residents
- Directions
- Visiting information
- Parking information
- Registered care categories- this tells visitors what care your team are qualified to provide, such as dementia care, care for younger adults, mental health care or supporting people with substance misuse. This can reassure visitors that you can cater for their needs and that they or their loved one will be in the company of others with the same difficulties.
- Specialist care offered – this is where you can tell visitors about any particular conditions or illnesses you specialise in providing care for, such as dementia, cancer care, brain injury and many more.
- Other care provided – such as palliative care, respite care, day care or independent living training.
- Facilities – Giving information about your facilities is a great way to show the home comforts and extra luxuries you provide and inspire visitors to your profile to book a visit to see the home. Facilities could include gardens, a lift and wheelchair access, whether you accept pets, any onsite café or bar, and many more.
- Covid-19 information – Throughout the pandemic, carehome.co.uk has been supporting homes to give regular updates on how the team is handling the situation, vaccine progress, visiting arrangements and any new policies and procedures that have been put in place to keep residents and staff safe. Providing these updates gives current residents’ loved ones and visitors to your profile peace of mind that your home is doing everything it can to provide a safe environment for residents.
With a basic subscription, you can reach up to 50% profile completeness. For more information about upgrading, speak to your account manager who will be happy to discuss your options.
