Review Updates

What's new? 

We have recently made some minor changes to simplify the review submission process and make navigating reviews easier for care seekers when searching for a care home.  

As part of the changes, we have removed the ‘How likely are you to recommend this care provider to friends?’ question. We have removed this from the reviews displayed on the website, the online review submission form, and on the updated version of the review cards. Please note, the previous version of the review cards (which still include the how likely…question) remain valid and we recommend that you still use these cards. 

We have renamed the review rating ‘Overall Standard’ to ‘Overall Experience’ and have changed the positioning of this item on the online review submission form and on each review on the website to give this rating more prominence. The ‘Overall Experience’ rating is now displayed where the ‘Average Rating’ previously appeared. We no longer display an average rating for each review. 

A minor update relating to what we define as a positive review has also been made to the review score. As a result of this change, a small percentage of review scores have changed by a very small amount (generally by less than 0.1 points). What's to come?

On 15th March 2022, we will be reducing the review publication window period from 14 days to 7 days for reviews pending publication to reflect the behaviour of our users as most replies are provided within 7 days. It will also improve the experience for the care seeker as more recent reviews will be published sooner.  

As is currently, you will still be notified when a review is set to pending publication and will have 7 days (currently 14) to either opt to write a reply and have the review published once the reply has been verified or opt to publish the review immediately without a reply. If you decide not to take action, after 7 days the review will be published automatically.
