Profile Completeness update - January 2024

  • PDF

Article Summary

From 25th January 2024, you may notice in your Control Panel that we made an update to Profile Completeness to include a number of additional fields, and as a result many Profile Completeness percentages dropped by 40%.

These fields that we have added to the Profile Completeness have been present in the control panel for at least 6 months. Many care providers have already entered this information but some have not.

As a reminder, your Profile Completeness percentage is not visible to care seekers on the carehome.co.uk website, but it is displayed in the control panel to help settings identify the key information to complete.

We believe that completing the information for these additional fields will provide care homes with better quality enquiries and help care seekers find the right care home.

We realise that it takes time and effort to complete these additional fields, but we have tried to keep the changes to a minimum. Depending on type of care home, there are between 9 and 14 additional fields to complete. If you need any assistance with making these changes, please contact your account manager and we will do our best to help.

There are 3 parts of Profile Completeness that are effected: Base Data, Funding & Fees, and Care Offered.

Base Data (10%)

We have added a couple of key questions to the profile completeness in the Base Data section. First up, the "Number of Single Rooms with Ensuite Wet Room" question is now part of Profile Completeness. Ensuite facilities are a big deal for many care seekers, and having a wet room is crucial for some residents. This info is very important for those seeking the right setup for their loved ones.

We have also added "Purpose Built Home".  This field has existed for many years and has been completed in the vast majority of cases. This gives care seekers insights into whether a care home was purpose-built (key facilities built into the design) or is a conversion of an older building (e.g a stately home). We know this matters to care seekers, so we will also make sure all this info shows up on the profile page.

To get the 10% Base Data Profile Completeness, settings need to complete all of the fields marked up with 'included in Profile Completeness' in the Base Data section.

Funding & Fees (20%)

We have added 4 fields to Profile Completeness under the section Funding Types Accepted:

null

To get the 20% for Funding & Fees , all settings now need to answer these 4 funding questions and if the home offers elderly/dementia care to self funders, they need to provide fees information.

We know fee and funding info is crucial for our care seekers and that care providers with fees and funding info displayed receive better quality enquiries.

Care Offered (10%)

We have added 2-4 fields to Profile Completeness under the section Care Types Provided and 1 field under Primary Care Categories (Respite care sits here now). Then, if a setting offers dementia care, 3 fields under Dementia Care Options.

To hit the 10% Profile Completeness in this section, settings need to answer yes or no to all questions under Care Types Provided and Primary Care Categories. In addition if the setting offers dementia care, they need to complete the fields under Dementia Care Options.

This helps care seekers understand exactly what a care home offers and allows our Care Help Team to better match homes with our customers.
