Profile Completeness for Basic Profiles

What is Profile Completeness?

Profile Completeness is a feature we introduced in June 2021 to help care homes set up their profiles on carehome.co.uk. 

Profile Completeness is made up of the different content elements you can add to your profile to increase visibility and show care seekers what you have to offer, giving you the best chance to receive enquiries.

Basic Profiles can reach a maximum of 50% Profile Completeness, while Enhanced, Premium and Platinum subscribers unlock more features and can achieve 100%.

Your Profile Completeness score is only visible to you within your control panel and will not be shared publicly.

What is it made up of?

Profile Completeness is made up of 10 content types. Each element of Profile Completeness adds 10% and count towards the total 100%.

Basic Profiles have the following content available:

1. Base data – 10%
   The minimum data required when setting up your account on carehome.co.uk, such as the number of bedrooms and ownership status. To find out more click here
2. Funding & Fees - 20%
   Add fees information to indicate to care seekers how much you charge per week. This is one of the most requested pieces of information from care seekers when looking for care homes.
3. Care Offered – 10%
   Care Offered care categories let you show care seekers if you provide particular types of care
4. Facilities – 10%
   Facilities information is an opportunity to set your care home apart from competitors. You can add facilities such as Wheelchair Access, Gardens for Residents and Bar/Café on premises.

Enhanced, Premium and Platinum subscribers can access more features which count towards 100% profile completeness and allows for more customisation and ways to attract care seekers.

How to get 50%

To add the different types of content to reach 50% profile completeness, simply log into your carehome.co.uk account and navigate to the Control Panel Dashboard.

The dashboard gives you an overview of what you have completed and what you need to do to reach 50%.

The profile in the image above is a Basic Profile which has completed 3 of the 5 types of content available to Basic Profiles, achieving 30% profile completeness.

To achieve 50% Profile Completeness, click ‘Add Content’ next to the relevant content type and enter the data required.

You can change your details at any point by clicking the ‘Edit’ button.

Getting 50% ensures you have the essentials covered. To maximise exposure and really entice care seekers to contact you, achieving 100% profile completeness is highly recommended.

Content types 6-10 allow you to personalise your profile to truly set yourself apart from others on carehome.co.uk.

What to do to get to 100%

To achieve 100% profile completeness, you must add the following content to your profile, each contributing 10%: 

1. Profile Description – 10%
   
   The profile description allows you to describe what services you have to offer and what life is like at your care home, in your own words.
   
   
2. 12+ Photos – 10%
   
   Photos are highly effective in attracting care seekers – they want to see what they can expect. A minimum of 12 photos are required to get the 10% towards profile completeness.
    
3. Add a Video– 10%
   
   Uploading a video adds another 10% towards profile completeness. A video is your opportunity to show off your care home’s personality and allow potential residents to meet your staff before visiting.
    
4. Meet the Team profiles – 10%
   
   Adding Team Member profiles enables care seekers to meet the people who will be caring for them in advance. Here, you can highlight your staff’s experience and qualifications to instil trust in potential residents.
    
5. Tour Availability – 10%
   
   The tour booking feature is one of our newest features and has been hugely popular due to its effectiveness of producing enquiries, especially during the pandemic. The feature lets you specify whether you offer onsite tours and/or remote tours.

Accessing these features requires an Enhanced, Premium or Platinum subscription, which also gives you access to a wide range of additional tools to generate reviews, promote your care home and generate enquiries.
