Article Summary

Why add Meet the Team?

If you have an Enhanced, Premium or Platinum service with carehome.co.uk, you can add Meet the Team to your care home’s profile. These are profiles of your team members that are visible to current and potential clients and can benefit you in several ways.

Potential clients know who to contact

You can add your team members’ names and job descriptions to your profile. This helps people to know who to contact with queries and can generate more enquiries. Adding a photo helps even more, as putting a friendly face to a name personalises your care home and helps people to feel comfortable and supported when they begin the life-changing process of looking for a care home.

Show that your care home values its team members

Profiles show that your care home values each member of the team and their role within the home. This looks good not only to potential clients but to potential employees, and helps to promote a family atmosphere to live and work in.

Display your team’s credentials

Adding Meet the Team is a great way to show off your team. Each person can have a bio where they can explain their experience, qualifications and passion for care. This looks great to potential clients and shows that they will be in good hands if they choose your care home.

An example of a team member bio could be:

(Name) began her career in care 15 years ago as a care assistant. Since then she has completed her NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 4 in Health and Social Care, along with 17 specialist training courses. As Deputy Manager, (Name) is passionate about creating a positive, family environment for residents and staff. Since starting in the role she has introduced an Inclusivity Lead and an Infection Control Lead, expanded the activities programme and established intergenerational visits with the local nursery, When (Name) isn’t busy at (care home name), she enjoys gardening, cycling holidays and spending time with her husband and two adult children.

What to include in a team member’s profile

Meet the Team is a great opportunity to show the public and potential clients your team members’ credentials and thus their ability to do a great job.

For a good profile, you can include your team member’s:

  • Name
  • Title, usually Ms/Mr/Miss but this is a blank box so it can be any pronoun.
  • Gender
  • Job title
  • Year started
  • Photo, it really helps customers to connect with the home if they can put faces to names. Choose smiling and professional photo of your team members to represent your care home.
  • A description. This is where you can tell people all about your team member and why they’re so good at their job. In their description, you could include:
    • How many years of experience they have in care
    • Their qualifications
    • Other positions they’ve held in the sector
    • Their proudest achievements in their current role
    • Their ethos and particular interests in care
