Funding & Fees

On this page you can tell us what types of funding you accept.  If you accept any private funded elderly/dementia residents, we will also ask you for indicative fees for the care types you offer.

Care Seekers tell us that fee information is one of the most important considerations when choosing care. We also know that care seekers using carehome.co.uk are frustrated when they find out a care home is outside their budget after enquiring because the fees are not available on the profile page.

How to enter your funding info

There are 4 fields to Profile Completeness under the section Funding Types Accepted (Self Funding, Local Authority, Local Authority with Top Up, NHS Continuing Healthcare):

To get the 20% for Funding & Fees , all settings now need to answer these 4 funding questions and if the home offers elderly/dementia care to self funders, they need to provide fees information.

How to add your fee information to your profile

If you accept self-funded care for older people and for people with dementia you can enter your fee information on your profile. 

In order to enter your self-funded care home fees you need to select the option "yes" next to this field. This will make the fee entry fields active.

Next you can enter your indicative fees for each of the care types you provide. You can also annotate your fees with a fee comment to further explain what is and isn't included in the price.

Confirming or updating your existing fee information

Keeping the fee information we have on file up to date is extremely important. Care Seekers want up to date pricing in order for them to be able to enquire to care homes closest to their budget. We will prompt you to review your fee information each year after you enter them on their website.

When you want to update your fees or confirm them for the following year, log into your Control Panel, select "Funding & Fees" in Profile Completeness or using the left hand menu click "Care Home Profile" and navigate to "Funding & Fees".

Select the option to confirm the same fees if your fees have stayed the same. If your fees have changed, click "I want to edit these prices and/or fee comment" 

Then ensure you click the update button at the bottom of the page.

Your fees information will be checked by carehome.co.uk. Your fee information will be marked as correct from that date in order to let care seekers know that the fee data is up to date.
